The Cowboy Baby Bond Montana Cowboys Linda Ford 9780373283545 Books Reviews

4 STARS
I really like Johnny. He does what he thinks is right even if it messes up his plans. I love the scenes with him and the baby.

Johnny is going to fix up a cabin for him and his friend to start their ranch. When he comes upon a broken wagon with a woman and her sick baby. Johnny is half Indian. He does not trust women. Has a lot of faith in God.

Willow Reames is a widow traveling by wagon to a new city with her baby by herself She has sent for her sisters to come live with her at new town. Willow has had to make some tough choices in her past to take care of her sisters and her son. Willow does not trust men.

Willow has a gun but finally gives in and asks Johnny for help to take care of her sick baby. She does not want help. She wants to do things by herself.

Willow is excited to see her sisters. But they are not on the train as expected. She is going to find them herself. Johnny is going to help her, even if she does not want it.

I cared for the characters and wanted them all to be a happy family. Sarah is a doll. She has so much faith. Celia is angry all the time. Adam is a cute baby and knows what he wants.

This is a clean read. Does mention God, faith and prayer is a way that is believable for the characters. Not preaching way.

I was given this ebook to read for free from NetGalley and Harlequin. In return I agreed to give a honest review of The Cowboy's Baby Bond.
Johnny Harding hears a baby crying in an abandoned wagon, he finds Willow and her young son stranded, so he fixes the wheel and takes them to his step-mother, Maisie, who welcomes them with open arms.

Willow is a young widow, who wants nothing more than to reunite with her sisters, and make a good life for her young son. But when she finds that her sisters aren't on the wagon train, Johnny offers to help her find them.

Will Johnny be able to help Willow find what she's looking for?

Johnny is a very kind and considerate man, willing to help out in a pinch. He shares his faith with Willow, and he goes out of his way to help her out, I liked how he made an effort to get to know Adam, even though he doesn't have much experience with babies. Adam quickly becomes attached to Johnny, and has him wrapped around his fingers.

Willow is working hard to rebuild her life, and I like that she get's her second chance and rediscovers her faith.

Overall, a great story, engaging from the beginning, and Adam is so adorable. There was a lot of good dialogue and interaction between Johnny and Willow as well as lots of humorous situations that they run into along the way. But it isn't all smooth sailing, and they need their faith to get them through. Wonderful read, that I would definitely recommend to fans of Western Romance!

When you look at the basic plot, it's a pretty standard Love Inspired one. A woman finds herself single and pregnant and is forced into a marriage (because in the time this is set, unwed mothers are stigmatized). Her husband isn't thrilled about a baby that's not his and is verbally abusive. Then, he dies. The woman is convinced all men are the way he was and she's wanting to be self-sufficient for herself, her baby, and the two sisters she's sent for.

The man had a fiancee who used him--she was also pregnant out of wedlock but not by him. When the baby's father returned, she broke off the engagement. So he has trust issues and has vowed not to get involved with a woman again.

Adam (the baby) is a standard touch in these plots, but he was cute and I liked how he called Johnny "man". Sarah and Celia (the sisters) are portrayed as opposites. Sarah is young, open, accepting while Celia is hardened, sullen, and challenging.
This is well done. There are very thoughtful and inspirational quotes and phrases.
I loved this book from start to finish and could not put it down.It is a sweet love story about second chances for some...
I really missed reading Ms. Ford's books. Again this book was very good,l just think they should have told the readers was the sister Celia went through too. But other than that her books came up to par.
